How to Accept CashApp Payments on WordPress

Peer-to-peer (P2P) platforms like Venmo and CashApp are widely used for fast, direct payments. If you want to allow customers to pay you using these platforms on your WordPress site, you can do so using Direct Payments WP.

This guide walks you through installing the plugin, enabling P2P payments, adding wallet details, and testing the full payment flow.

Step 1: Install Direct Payments WP

You can install Direct Payments WP directly from your WordPress dashboard or by uploading the plugin ZIP file.

  1. Log in to your WordPress website.

  2. Go to WordPress Admin → Plugins → Add New.

  3. Search for “Direct Payments WP by Digages”, or click Upload Plugin to upload the ZIP file.

  4. Click Install Now.

  5. After installation, click Activate.

  1. Navigate to Direct Payments WP → Settings → Peer-to-Peer.

  2. Click Add Account or the (+) icon.

  3. Type CashApp as the payment method.

  4. Enter your CashApp payment details (e.g., Account name, ID, ID type, etc).

  5. Click Save.

Your CashApp account is now connected and ready to be used on payment forms.

Step 3: Enable Peer-to-Peer Payments

CashApp is configured under the peer-to-peer (P2P) payment methods.

  1. In the WordPress dashboard, go to Direct Payments WP → Settings.

  2. Locate the Peer-to-Peer Payments Method option.

  3. Toggle it ON.

  4. Click Save Changes.

To allow customers to pay via CashApp, ensure the P2P payment method is enabled on your form.

  1. Go to Direct Payments WP → Forms.

  3. Save or update the form.

  4. Copy the form shortcode and paste it on the desired page.

Publish the page to make the CashApp payment option visible to users.

Test the CashApp Payment Flow

Before going live, perform a quick test:

  1. Open the page containing the payment form.

  2. Select P2P as the payment method and save.

  3. Confirm that your payment instructions display correctly.

  4. Complete a test payment to verify notifications and workflow.
